Keith Thorpe
Dr. Wayne Keith Thorpe was an American Bahá’í who pioneered to Trinidad & Tobago where he served as an Auxiliary Board member.
Background[edit]
Thorpe was an active Bahá’í youth and he was living in Hamburg, New York, and participating in Bahá’í activities as of 1958.[1] In 1964 he married Charyl Ioas in Teanack, New Jersey.[2]
In 1966 Thorpe helped lead a youth conference held in Fort Wayne, Indiana.[3] In 1967 he graduated from the Indiana School of Medicine,[4] and as of 1969 he was completing an internship at UCLA Medical school in Santa Monica.[5]
As of 1977 Thorpe and Charyl were serving on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Chula Vista, California when it was formed.[6] Thorpe and Charyl pioneered to Trinidad in 1977,[7] and as of 1978 he had been appointed as an Auxiliary Board member and that year he spoke at the second Tobago Bahá’í summer school.[8]
