Kamálu’d-Dín Bakhtávar

Kamálu’d-Dín Bakhtávar (August 2, 1927 - July 26, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Bakhtávar was born into a Bahá’í family in Ardabil in 1927 and his family moved to Tehran in 1937. He completed school then began working for the Ministry of Agriculture while also studying Law at Tehran University and Islamic Studies at Karachi University. In addition to his work and studies he also wrote books and articles about the Bahá’í Faith.[1]
In 1981 Bakhtávar's home was raided and he was arrested on July 10, 1981, while visiting Mashhad. He was held in Kashmar prison where he was executed on July 26, 1981.[1]
