Justice St Rain is an American Bahá’í who together with his wife have created a company called Special Ideas, which is based in Indiana. Special Ideas sells Bahá’í artefacts, books, booklets, stickers, etc. One of its goals as an organisation seems to be to create literature which is accessible to the masses, rather than add to the extensive academic and wordy literature which the Bahá’í community so often produces. The materials produced by Special Ideas tend to be inexpensive. Justice is also a prolific author of Bahá’í items. His books tend to be slim volumes, written in a conversational style, and extremely easy to read. He also covers potentially controversial areas: problems within the Bahá’í community, homosexuality, the membership of the Universal House of Justice, etc. He is also responsible for a wide range of small booklets for use in teaching and in proclamation.
