Jordan is a Middle Eastern country located in western Asia.
During the early 1900s, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá bought land in Jordan east of the Sea of Galilee, in a village called ‘Adasiyyah. Several years later, Persian Bahá’ís from Yazd settled there, developing the land for farming under ‘Abdu’l-Bahá's guidance. The crops grown in ‘Adasiyyah were eventually used to feed the people of Haifa and Akká during World War I, staving off famine.[2]
