John Huddleston was born in England, but became a Bahá’í in America. He held a responsible position at the International Monetary Fund (Chief, Budget and Planning Division, IMF, Washington, DC). His introductory work on the Faith, This Earth is But One Country, was hailed at the time as a breakthrough in Baha'i introductions, as it included more current descriptions of Bahá’í social and economic developments. It has been through various reprints, and currently exists as a shortened version of the original work. His later books likewise concentrate on social justice.
