Jalál Mustaqím

Jalál Mustaqím (1928 - September 8, 1980) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Mustaqím was born into a Bahá’í family in Marvast in 1928. His father was from a staunch Muslim family who cut him off when he declared and the family experienced persecution in Marvast with their home being ransacked. In 1946 the family moved to Yazd.[1]
In 1973 Mustaqím was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Yazd and in 1976 he was appointed as an assistant to the Auxiliary Board. On June 18, 1980, he was arrested after returning home from an Assembly meeting and on September 8, 1980, he was executed alongside six prominent Bahá’ís of Yazd.[1]
