Ishráqát is the title of a long tablet by Bahá'u'lláh. It is usually translated as "Splendours", and an English translation can be found in the volume Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh (revealed after the Kitáb-i-Aqdas) (first published 1978).

It was revealed to Jalíl-i-Khu'í, a believer from Persian Azerbaijan, and deals largely with rejection and unbelief in the first part, before listing some of the teachings of the new Revelation. These could be summed up as follows:

  • 1st Ishráq the necessity for a profound regard for religion
  • 2nd Ishráq establishment of the Lesser Peace
  • 3rd Ishráq observation of God's commandments, consultation, compassion
  • 4th Ishráq praiseworthy deeds and upright character
  • 5th Ishráq governments to appoint trustworthy people
  • 6th Ishráq unity, choice of a world language
  • 7th Ishráq education of children
  • 8th Ishráq the House of Justice
  • 9th Ishráq religion to promote unity

The final section deals again with the need for justice and for unity, and includes, among other things, an explanation of how, in moderation, money can be loaned on interest.

Further details on this tablet appear in the article Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh.
