Intellect Books is an independent publisher of books, based in Bristol, England. It was set up by Masoud Yazdani (died February, 2014), and publishes a wide range of titles, including a number on the teaching of drama. As a side venture, the company was also publishing the compilations made by Corinne Randall, which she herself illustrated with exquisite and uplifting artwork. These were made available to the Bahá'ís at a very low cost, which meant that they were not a significant source of revenue for the company. Since Mr. Yazdani's death, control of the company has been in the hands of another party, which seems to have little interest in continuing with the publication of the Bahá'í titles. This may be because their publication involved effort but no profit, it may be that they judge that Bahá'ís would be unwilling to pay for the same books at a commercial rate, or it may also be that they fail to understand that Bahá'ís will continue to require further copies of the same books, to give to enquirers.
Stephen Vickers, who also runs the West Oxfordshire Bahá'í Bookshop, has involved himself in trying to ensure the continued publication of these books (see below).

There were certain other Bahá'í titles published in the past which are not being reprinted.
Format of the Books[edit]
With the editions of "Hidden Words", "The Seven Valleys" and "Create in me a Pure Heart", the Word of God appears on a painted background, which varies from page to page. In the case of "The Hidden Words", the text is on the right-hand page, while the left-hand page is purely decorative. The "Essential Insights" series consist of Writings from the Bahá'í Scriptures, chosen according to the theme of each book, with the Word of God again appearing on a painted background. The "Colour Meditations" series consist of Writings from the Bahá'í Scriptures among other writings from a number of sources. In this series, the theme of each book is also related to a loose colour theme in the paintings.
