Husayn Khándil

Husayn Khándil (May 2, 1943 - June 14, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who served on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Hamadán. He was martyred following the 1979 Revolution in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Khándil was born in Hamadán in 1943. He completed high school then began working for his father who owned a shop in the city and he later established a successful real estate business.[1]
In 1980 Khándil was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Hamadán. He was arrested on August 12, 1980, with other members of the Assembly and they were tortured before being executed by firing squad on June 14, 1981.[1]
