Husayn Asadu’lláh-Zádih (February 27, 1903 - July 29, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Asadu’lláh-Zádih was born in Zanjan in 1903. He completed a degree in topography and secured employment with the Iranian Census Department working for thirty years. He established himself in Tabriz where he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly and served for forty-two years.[1]

In June 1980 Asadu’lláh-Zádih's home was raided by Revolutionary Guards and he was arrested. He was interrogated at the public prosecutor's detention centre and then held in Tabriz prison. He was executed on July 29, 1981, alongside eight fellow Bahá’ís and his body was not returned to his family for burial.[2]
