Ho Chi Minh City (formerly called Saigon) is the largest city in the country of Vietnam. Located on the Saigon River in the south of the country, it is a major centre for finance and international trade. The first Bahá’ís visited the city in the 1920s, including Hippolyte Dreyfus-Barney in 1920 and Martha Root in 1924. The first Baháʼí group in Vietnam was established in the city in 1954, with the arrival of Shirin Fozdar, a Baháʼí teacher from India.

The National Ḥaẓíratu’l-Quds of Vietnam is currently located in Ho Chi Minh City.
