Hidáyatu’lláh Dihqání

Hidáyatu’lláh Dihqání (1924 - March 17, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Dihqání was born in Kushkak, Iran, in 1924. His family were Bahá’ís and faced persecution with their home being destroyed due to hostility to the Bahá’í Faith in 1943 and they moved from Kushkak to Abadih. Dihqání married, established a business and a farm, and served on the Local Spiritual Assembly and as an assistant to the Auxiliary Board member in Abadih.[1]

On August 9, 1980, Dihqání was arrested alongside three fellow members of the Abadih Local Spiritual Assembly and they were held in Adilabad prison in Shiraz. On March 17, 1981, he was executed alongside a fellow Assembly member.[1]
