Háshim Farnúsh

Háshim Farnúsh (1938 - June 23, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Farnúsh was born in Karaj in 1938 where he completed his schooling. He then moved to Tehran where he complete a degree in Persian Literature at Tehran University and after graduating he moved to Rasht where he worked as a teacher. He later returned to Karaj where he established a business.[1]
In 1979 Farnúsh was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Karaj and he was arrested in late 1980 and imprisoned in Evin prison in Tehran until being executed by firing squad on June 23, 1981.[1]
