Ghulám-Husayn Hasanzádih-Shákirí

Ghulám-Husayn Hasanzádih-Shákirí (1903 - March 10, 1984) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Hasanzádih was born into a Muslim family in Mashhad. He described himself as being "wicked and mischievous" in his youth and began investigating the Bahá’í Faith in order to harm the community, however he instead became a Bahá’í as a result. He moved to Tehran at some point where he married and had children.[1]
When the Iranian Revolution took place in 1979 Hasanzádih had retired and his pension was terminated in 1982 due to him being a Bahá’í. He was arrested in 1983 and held in Qasr prison for nine months then transferred to Evin prison where he was executed by firing squad on March 10, 1984. His body was not returned to his family for burial.[1]
