Biography[edit]

Firdawsí was born into a Bahá’í family in Kerogan in 1918. He attended the Bahá’í school Vahdat-e-Bashar in Kashan until it was closed down by the government in 1934. He then completed his education in Tehran then undertook military training. He later married and settled in Tehran.[1]

Firdawsí was an active member of the Bahá’í community and was appointed to the Board of the Umaná Company by the National Spiritual Assembly of Iran. In 1980 he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Tehran and on November 2, 1981, he was arrested when a meeting of the Assembly was raided.
