Dhíyá’u’lláh Ahrárí.

Dr. Dhíyá’u’lláh Ahrárí (January 1, 1934 - November 21, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Ahrárí was born in 1934 in Surmaq, a town near Ábádih. He studied at University in Ábádih then moved to Italy where he completed a PhD in Pharmacy.[1]

Ahrárí returned to Iran from Italy and settled in Shiraz where he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly. On April 20, 1982, he was summoned to a Revolutionary Court and imprisoned until being executed by hanging on November 21, 1982.[1]
