Díyá'u'lláh Haqíqat

Ḍíyá’u’lláh Ḥaqíqat (1928 - August 13, 1978) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred.
Biography[edit]
Ḍíyá’u’lláh Haqíqat was born into a Bahá’í family in the village of Khána Kahdán in the Iranian province of Fars. In 1960 he married and moved to Jahrom where he started working for the National Oil Company. He was later elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Jahrom.[1]
In August 1978 Ḍíyá’u’lláh Haqíqat was run over by someone riding a motorcycle while traveling to work. His body was found by his brother-in-law some time later and when he was taken to a local hospital the staff refused to attend to his injuries. He was transported to a hospital in Shiraz at the insistence of a Bahá’í doctor but passed away after three days. The local authorities refused to investigate the hit and run which resulted in his death.[1]
