(Redirected from Continental Board of Northeast Asia)

The Continental Board of Counsellors for Northeast Asia was a body responsible for protection and propagation of the Bahá'í Faith in Northeast Asia, and for appointing members to Auxiliary Boards across Northeast Asia. Its membership was appointed by the Universal House of Justice.
History[edit]
The Continental Board of Northeast Asia was formed along with ten other Boards in 1968. They were established by the Universal House of Justice so that the functions that the Hands of the Cause performed could continue to be carried out despite the Bahá'í community being unable to appoint additional Hands.
In October, 1969, the Board held a deepening conference in Tokyo which was also attended by Hand of the Cause ‘Alí-Akbar Furútan.[1]
