A co-ordinator is a person appointed to co-ordinate certain activities of the Bahá’í community in an area, such as a cluster.
Within any given area, some degree of co-ordination may be required. In general, the person who co-ordinates children's classes or the Junior Youth programme will have a title which makes this clear, e.g. "Junior Youth Co-ordinator". If the term "Cluster Co-ordinator" is bestowed upon somebody without further elaboration, then progress of persons through the sequence of Ruhi courses will be one of that person's primary responsibilities. The Cluster Co-ordinator may have a list of all of the Bahá'ís and seekers who have begun Ruhi courses within the cluster, and will then keep a lookout for opportunities to link a tutor with potential participants for further courses. The Cluster Co-ordinator may also hold sessions for the further training of tutors, and for the sharing of experiences and of learning. This person may also seek to develop the Arts within the Study circles in their cluster. If the term "Cluster Growth Co-ordinator" is used, the person may have responsibilities for encouraging growth in the number of home visits or devotional meetings, or for encouraging the Friends to attend cluster meetings of various sorts.
