Binghamton is a city in the U.S. State of New York which serves as the seat of Broome County.

History[edit]

A Bahá’í community was established in Binghamton in the 1920's through the efforts of Howard Colby Ives and his wife Mabel and the Bahá’í community of the neighboring city Geneva.[1]

In December, 1929, Willard McKay and his wife visited the city during a teaching tour and in 1930 the Local Spiritual Assembly of Binghamton was established,[2] and the Assembly was incorporated in 1940.[3]
