Bijan Farid is a Bahá’í who has served as a Continental Counselor for Asia.
Background[edit]
Farid was appointed to the Continental Board of Counselors for Asia for a five year term in 1985.[1] In 1988 he attended an Auxiliary Board Conference alongside Rúḥíyyih Khánum,[2] and in 1989 he attended the establishment of the National Spiritual Assembly of Macau also alongside Rúḥíyyih Khánum.[3] In 1990 he spoke at the International Chinese Symposium, a Bahá’í event held in San Francisco focused on teaching the Bahá’í Faith to Chinese individuals.[4]
Farid was reappointed for additional terms as Counselor in 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, and 2010, completing his service on the body in 2015. In 2009 he represented the Universal House of Justice at a major Regional Conference in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.[5]
