Białystok is a city in northeastern Poland.

History[edit]

A teaching project in Białystok started in June 1992 thanks to the efforts of foreign and native travel teachers. Among them were: Mick Dutcher (USA), Castadarrow Thompkins (USA), Biorn McGinley (Ireland), Dominika Pietrzykowska - Duda (Poland), and Rafal Maurin (Poland). The first local Baha'is declared in July 1992: Jan Zimnoch, Gosia Bukowska, Mariusz Piotrowicz, Ika Bukowska, Grzegorz Kulikowski.

In August 1992 there was a concert of Dulcamara - Bahai musicians from Spain. Joy Gannaway, a pioneer from the Canary Islands, assisted the Bialystok community in its early development. In September 1992 two long-term pioneers came to Bialystok: Patricia Coles (later ABM, Councellor, NSA member) from Canada and Eveline Bourton from Belgium.

24.09.1992 first Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahais of Bialystok was elected.

23-25.10.1992 - Baha'i Autumn School was hold in Bialystok.
