Bernice Bernardo was an American Bahá’í who pioneered to Venezuela.
Background[edit]
Bernardo was born in California in 1912 and in her career she established herself as an administrative assistant at the company IBM.[1] As of 1954 she was serving as the secretary of the Local Spiritual Assembly of Washington, D.C.[2] and in 1956 she was appointed to the Central Atlantic States Area Teaching Committee.[3]
As of 1960 Bernardo had pioneered to Venezuela and settled in Distrito Sucre and that year she was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Distrito Sucre when it was established.[4] As of 1963 she was serving on the National Spiritual Assembly of Venezuela as treasurer.[5]
By 1968 Bernardo had returned to the United States and was living in White Plains, New York.[6] Later in life she settled in Carlsbad, California, passing there in 2007.[1]
