Badí’u’lláh Haqpaykar

Badí’u’lláh Haqpaykar (1917 - May 8, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Haqpaykar was born in Tehran in 1917. He moved to Karaj in 1942 where he established a business trading in automobile parts and served on the Local Spiritual Assembly. As of the early 1980's he had pioneered to Gohardasht where he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly.[1]

In February, 1981, Haqpaykar was arrested but released after nine days. He was imprisoned a second time two months later and remained in prison until being executed by firing squad on May 8, 1982, alongside two fellow Bahá’ís.[1]
