Badí’u’lláh Faríd

Badí’u’lláh Faríd (1927 - June 24, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Faríd was born into a Bahá’í family in Shiraz in 1927. He completed elementary school in Shiraz then moved to Tehran where he completed high school and a Law degree at Tehran University. After completing his studies he worked as an administrator for the Ministry of Education and was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Tehran.[1]
On February 8, 1980, Faríd was arrested and imprisoned in Evin prison where he was placed in solitary confinement, tortured, and interrogated. He was executed by firing squad on June 24, 1981, alongside three other Bahá’ís. They were buried at the Bahá’í cemetery of Tehran with hundreds attending their funerals.[1]
