Bádí’u’lláh Yazdání

Bádí’u’lláh Yazdání (1914 - May 6, 1980) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Yazdání was born into a Bahá’í family in Sangesar in 1914. He moved to Gonbad-e Kavus in 1934 where he began farming and breeding cattle and he later established himself in Tehran where he lived in several suburbs and served on their Local Spiritual Assemblies.[1]
On March 16, 1979, Yazdání was arrested and held in solitary confinement in Abbasabad prison. He was then transferred to Ghasr prison then Evin prison where he was executed by firing squad on May 6, 1980, alongside two fellow Bahá’ís. They were buried in the Bahá’í cemetery of Tehran with a large number of friends and family gathering for their funeral.[1]
