Antioch is a city in the U.S. State of California.

History[edit]

As of 1940 a Bahá’í, Frank R. Michael, was living in Antioch.[1] By 1971 there was a small group in the city and they successfully placed a full page advertisement on the Faith in a local high school yearbook.[2]

As of 1978 there were six Bahá’ís in Antioch,[3] and as of 1982 the community had nine members allowing it to form a Local Spiritual Assembly.[4] In 1984 the United States National Teaching Committee requested pioneers to support the Antioch community.[5]
