Albert Nyarko Buapiah is the first Bahá’í from the Gold Coast, now Ghana, and is also a Knight of Bahá’u’lláh.[1]
He declared in Topremang in October 1953 after being introduced to the religion by Major and Zara Dunne and his wife, Grace, also accepted the Faith soon afterwards. He pioneered within the Gold Coast to Osenase and a Local Spiritual Assembly of Osenase was established after a short time.[2] He was named a Knight of Bahá’u’lláh for pioneering to British Togoland in April 1954.[3]
