Administrative regions of Canada

From Bahaipedia
Jump to:navigation, search

The Baha'i community of Canada is divided into several different administrative regions, each corresponding to one or more Canadian provinces or territories, except in the case of the province of Ontario, which is subdivided into two parts (see below). These divisions were created to facilitate the administration of the affairs of the Canadian Baha'i community; given the physical size of the country, it would be extremely difficult for the National Spiritual Assembly to visit or to manage the affairs of each region on its own. The administration of the first six regions is carried out by Regional Baha'i Councils; the affairs of the Faith in the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are administered by supervising regional committees.
