Abhá Kingdom
The Abhá Kingdom (also the Kingdom of Abhá; i.e. the Kingdom of the All-Glorious) refers to the spiritual world where souls reside after death, also commonly known as the next world.[1][2] In the Bahá’í writings the phrase is used in several contexts. First, upon the death of an individual as in "ascended to the Abhá Kingdom" or when talking about these individuals as a group as in "the denizens of the Abhá Kingdom".[list 1] Second, in the context of describing assistance to the believers, as in "the armies of the Abhá Kingdom will grant you the victory".[list 2] Third, in the context of describing or wishing for blessings, as in "May God shed the brightness of the Abhá Kingdom" or "the melody of the Abhá Kingdom hath been raised".[list 3] Lastly, to describe the transformation that must accompany the spread of the Bahá’í teachings as in: "that this lowly earth will become the Abhá Kingdom" or in relation to people becoming Bahá’ís as in "Summon the people...to enter the Abhá Kingdom".[list 4]
