‘Atá’u’lláh Haqqání

‘Atá’u’lláh Haqqání (1921 - June 1, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Haqqání was born into a Bahá’í family Hamadan in 1921 and completed his schooling in the city. After graduating he moved to Tehran where he established a business.[1]

When the Iranian Revolution began in 1979 Haqqání started receiving anonymous death threats. On June 1, 1982, a group of men visited his home in the afternoon attempting to locate him. He was found dead that evening with his body showing that he had been tortured, stabbed, and strangled.[1]
