‘Askar Muhammadí

‘Askar Muhammadí (1950 - April 2, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Muhammadí was born into a Bahá’í family in Elakhchi, Tabriz province, in 1950. His family pioneered to Rahimkhan in Kurdistan province in 1957 where Muhammadí ultimately established himself as a farmer.[1]

On April 2, 1982, Revolutionary Guards raided Muhammadí's home searching for weapons. He advised them that he did not own any weapons because he was a Bahá’í and the Guards shot him in the back multiple times killing him.[1]
