‘Alí Sattárzádih

‘Alí Sattárzádih (1955 - October 28, 1979) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Sattárzádih was born into a Bahá’í family in Mahabad in 1955. His father was murdered when he was a child and he was raised by his mother in Mahabad where he completed his schooling. After graduating he pioneered to the village Daylar to teach the Faith remaining at his post until returning to Mahabad in 1978.[1]
By 1979 Sattárzádih had pioneered to Amirabad, a goal area for the Faith in Kurdistan, and he traveled between Amirabad and Bukan daily for work. On October 24, 1979, he was shot in the arm and back while traveling back to Amirabad from Bukan. He survived the shooting but passed away in hospital a few days later.[1]
