‘Alí Na‘ímíyán

‘Alí Na‘ímíyán (1910 - August 11, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Na‘ímíyán was born into a Bahá’í family in Miyandub in 1910. He began working for the Department of Agriculture for Azerbaijan province after completing High School working for the Department for his entire professional career.[1]
While Na‘ímíyán experienced persecution for his religion, such as his home being looted by a mob in 1955, he remained an active Bahá’í serving on the Local Spiritual Assemblies of Myandub, Sari, and Urmia. In 1981 his retirement pension was cancelled by the Revolutionary Government of Iran due to his religion.[1]
On October 20, 1982, Na‘ímíyán was arrested and taken to an unknown location for a period. He was ultimately taken to Urmia prison where he was executed on August 11, 1982.[1]
