‘Adadu’lláh Zaydí

‘Adadu’lláh Zaydí (1928 - April 1, 1983) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Zaydí was born in Miyandub in 1928. Professionally he worked as a farmer and in later life traded in fruits and herbs at a fruit market. He was an active member of the Bahá’í community, pioneering for periods to Bukan and Maku and serving on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Miyandub.[1]
During the Revolution in Iran which began in 1979 Zaydí faced persecution with his home being set on fire. On April 1, 1983, he was killed in a shooting while returning home from the Miyandub fruit market. Two Bahá’ís he was with were injured in the shooting but survived. He was buried by his family in the Miyandub Bahá’í cemetery.[1]
