Ḥúr-i-‘Ujáb

From Bahaipedia
Jump to:navigation, search

Ḥúr-i-‘Ujáb, officially translated as Tablet of the Wondrous Maiden, is an Arabic Tablet revealed by Bahá’u’lláh.

Adib Taherzadeh writes that it is written in allegorical language, including use of the symbolism of the Maid of Heaven, and that it alludes to Bahá’u’lláh's station and His revelation being revealed to the world. He states it also alludes to Mírzá Yahyá and his associates, condemning their actions.

Taherzadeh places the revelation of this Tablet at the close of the Baghdad period.
