By David Haslip.

This page lists the important features of the first 5 topics in this short series on living life as a Bahá’í. The topics were:

1. Daily life of a Bahá’í[edit]

The daily responsibilities for Bahá’ís are listed. What is not mentioned on this page are things like participation in community life, fasting, holy days, the Nineteen day feast or any requirements and exceptions to these activities.

2. Walking in the path of God[edit]

On this page we discussed ‘Abdu’l-Bahá's statement To be a Bahá’í simply means to love all the world... I gave the analogy of faith and life in the path of God being like that of a car, and how you must first learn about the components of the car before you can drive it. Each page in this series is meant to represent and introduce briefly a component of that life of Faith, an understanding of which is necessary to walk on this path.

3. On the importance of meditation and prayer[edit]

A long and impactful statement about meditation by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá was shared. Some tips for those who may be new to meditation was offered. I did not say a lot about prayer to let that be something you develop personally in your relationship with God.

4. The example of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá[edit]

The purpose of this page is to demonstrate through the sharing of stories how ‘Abdu’l-Bahá lived the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, and represented our perfect example of what it means to be a Bahá’í. As we progress in our study and our lives we will always want to include this consideration.

5. Remaining steadfast in the Cause of Bahá’u’lláh[edit]

This page talks a little about tests and their purpose in our life. I mention how we have the capacity to bring tests on ourselves.

Next[edit]

The next few pages in this series will be about service, study of the Writings, and engaging in community life. I will also include one page about terminology with definitions and pronunciations in case those are new to you.
