English: The flag of Nicaragua is a horizontal bicolor triband of blue and white, with the coat of arms of Nicaragua centered on the middle band. This design is in use as civil flag, state flag, and war flag (including the war ensign). The version without the coat of arms is de facto used by civilians, but not sanctioned by law.
Nederlands: De vlag van Nicaragua bestaat uit drie horizontale banen in de kleurenvolgorde blauw-wit-blauw, met in het midden het wapen van Nicaragua. Nicaragua gebruikt dit ontwerp zowel als civiele vlag, staatsvlag en oorlogsvlag (inclusief oorlogsvlag ter zee). In de praktijk gebruiken veel Nicaraguanen een versie zonder wapen, maar deze dergelijke vlag is niet officieel. |
