Caption ‘Erena Roe’, a 40-foot catamaran built in Kiribati and Tuvalu for use in teaching the Bahá’í Faith throughout the islands. The vessel, launched in April 1977, was named for Elena and Roy Fernie, Knights of Bahá’u’lláh for the Gilbert Islands. In the foreground are seen John Thurston (left) and Terimwi Tonga (right) who operate the vessel.
