The Disciples of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, also 'Heralds of the Covenant', were a group of nineteen western Bahá’ís designated as such by Shoghi Effendi.
They were:
- John Esslemont
- Thornton Chase
- Howard MacNutt
- Sarah Farmer
- Hippolyte Dreyfus-Barney
- Lillian Kappes
- Robert Turner
- Arthur Brauns
- William H. Randall
- Lua Getsinger
- Joseph Hannen
- Chester I. Thacher
- Charles Greenleaf
- Isabella D. Brittingham
- Ethel Rosenberg
- Helen Goodall
- Arthur P. Dodge
- William H. Hoar
- George Jacob Augur
Arthur Brauns was replaced by Albert Schwarz in a second list of Disciples reproduced in Baha'i World Volume 4,[1] however the photograph accompanying both lists was of Brauns. The inclusion of Schwarz was an error.[2]
